Thamel-the tourist hub of Kathmandu with all budget accommodations, wide range of restaurants and handicraft stores is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Maya Manor is a historic mansion turned into a boutique hotel. Commander in Chief Toran Shumsher Rana and his brother Balram SJB Rana had built he original building in 1935. The Chinese Ambassador lived in this mansion for ten years before the current owner took it over, and vigorously worked hard to convert it to a boutique hotel.

Maya Manor has 40 luxury rooms and seven exclusive suites, including a historic lounge full of elegant antiquities. The hotel features a meeting hall, full-fledged gym, and sauna. This seven storied boutique hotel is fully air-conditioned, featuring a king-size bed in all rooms. All rooms consist of LED TV, safe deposit, free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea facilities, granite-laid- bathroom with fluffy bathrobes, hair-dryer, scales. There are also well-stocked mini-bar and complimentary mineral water: room amenities and even free WiFi.
